Multi award-winning jazz vocalist, Claire Martin, joins the internationally acclaimed BBC Big Band for a celebration of the legendary leading ladies of Big Band, including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee and their contemporaries. Classic songs that made them stars, such as That Old Black Magic, Fever, Too Darn Hot and plenty of popular Big Band hits from the groups that the divas loved to work with, including Artie Shaw, Count Basie and Benny Goodman. An evening of feel-good music inspired by the most glamorous women of the Jazz age.
